Was outside taking pictures right before it started to storm. Snapped a few pictures. The other pictures are of the neighbors yard, its very overgrown and long. The house is condemned and nobody takes care of it, I hate it.

flower update

Ok, from top to bottom- both are my Sweet Peas, Gerbera Daisy hanging basket, Purple Salvia, Purple Salvia, Sunfire Coreopsis, Sunfire Coreopsis, White Coneflower, Black Eyed Susan, Dahlia, Shasta Daisies, and last 2 are my try at Sunflowers. The sunflowers and sweet peas were both inside starts. They were the only ones that made it. Hopefully will get some more Perennials soon and maybe some annuals to fill in.

Sad News

Looked out of my window this afternoon and noticed that the nest was gone. Went outside and it was on the ground, the lone egg broken. My guess is that something spooked the finch and it flew off, knocking the nest down, it wasn't a very sturdy ledge. Makes me sad though, was looking forward to seeing the babies emerge. :(

Finch nest

Last week I noticed some Finches building a nest. Now its complete and the momma finch is now staying in the nest. So my guess is that hopefully in a few weeks we will have some baby finches. I will continue to take pictures of this.

Well since my seed starts didn't make it I decided to buy some perennials. Have bought and planted a few, will take pictures of their progress as they grow and as I plant more.

Just planted these on Monday and my African Daisies and Bachelors Buttons are already coming up. This is so exciting to me, I can't wait to transplant them outside.
